I WOKE UP SCARED… AND MAYBE THAT’S THE REALITY NOW

Today I woke up scared, not the kind that you shake off with a cup of coffee or a hot shower, the kind that sits quietly in your chest… asking questions you don’t want to answer.

I woke up thinking, I woke up wondering… what has life become??????

THE WORLD DOES NOT PAUSE (AND THAT’S THE SCARIEST PART)

Recently, the stories have been everywhere, Men, Women and Children, no one is untouched anymore, every day, it’s something new,

Another headline, another whisper, another “did you hear what happened?” and like clockwork… the blame begins, some blame the government, some blame partners, some blame jealousy, others blame poverty, lack of jobs, stress, anger, curses, anything that helps us make sense of something that doesn’t make sense at all.

At this point, blame has become a full-time job…with zero results, because while we argue about why…, people are still dying.

Let’s be honest, uncomfortably honest, the world has become a place where human life feels… cheap, negotiable, replaceable and disposable, and that’s for sure is not a dramatic statement, it's reality. We are living in a time where being kind can make you vulnerable, where trusting the wrong person can cost you everything and where simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time can turn you into a memory people post with sad emojis.

The most chilling part???, life continues, the clock will not stop. ⌚not even for you, your workplace will not freeze in time, they will mourn you… yes, they will send messages… yes, maybe even a beautiful tribute, buuuut give it a week, someone else is learning your job, sitting in your chair, asking where you saved your files.

Your position in church? Filled, your role in the community? Replaced, even your favourite seat will find a new “owner” like it was never yours to begin with.

It sounds cold, but life is colder than we like to admit, and then… there are your children, the ones who will grow up too fast, the ones who will learn the word “late” before they even understand what life is, the ones who won’t remember your voice clearly, but will hear stories about you like you were a legend instead of a parent, they will quietly carry a sentence in their hearts forever: “I wish…”, your absence won’t just hurt, it will echo… in birthdays, in graduations, in random quiet moments.

Now let’s be a little honest in a different way… the sarcastic way 😊 because sometimes truth is too heavy without a little edge. You spend your whole life worrying: What will people say?, I need to impress them, I must look perfect, meanwhile…If something happens to you, those same people will cry today, post you tomorrow and by next week???? they are laughing again, living again, moving on, just like that.

Life doesn’t pause for grief as long as we think it does.

So why are we living for people who won’t even stop for us?

This is not fear, it is awareness, take care of yourself, not just your body, but your mind, your peace and your environment. Be careful who you trust, not everyone who smiles at you wishes you well.

Pay attention to red flags, those small things we ignore because we don’t want to seem dramatic, sometimes… those “small things” are warnings.

Avoid unnecessary conflict, walk away when you can, choose peace even when your ego is shouting, “Don’t let this go! because ego has buried many people, and peace has saved many lives.

If there is any way to avoid danger even if it makes you look weak, even if people talk, please… choose safety.

There is nothing brave about being dead, survival is not cowardice, it is wisdom.

Always remember that at the end of the day…...We cannot fix the world, we cannot control people. We may never fully understand why these things keep happening but we can control ourselves.

* How we move.

* How we react.

* How we protect our lives.

So live… but live wisely, laugh… but stay aware, love… but don’t ignore danger, trust… but don’t be blind and most importantly protect your life like it truly matters, because it does, even if the world…

will keep spinning without you. 🌍
